Problems are Good! Presented by the AFE Maintenance Council

Location: Online

Description: Problems are Good! The best organizations in the world are not the ones with all the systems and procedures, all the initials and acronyms , or even the most up to date technical solutions rather they are the ones that are best at identifying and solving problems. Want more success? Want a better maintenance effort? Then get better at finding and solving problems. Follow Ron Moore’s observation "There’s too much maintenance in your reliability!"

Joel Levitt, the author of eight books, including the brand new Basics of Fleet Management and TPM Reloaded, has been President of Springfield Resources since 1980.

Guidelines for Selecting and Maintaining Glycol Based Heat Transfer Fluids

David Berry
Chem-Aqua

Glycol-water mixtures are commonly used to provide freeze protection in HVAC closed loop heating and cooling systems. A properly designed, commissioned, and maintained glycol system can provide 20 or more years of reliable service. However, improperly commissioned and maintained glycol systems can experience severe problems in as little as one to two years. Given the high initial cost of filling a glycol loop, and the even higher cost of the resulting problems if a glycol loop goes "bad," it is important to understand how to properly select and maintain a glycol system.
